Time tracking for freelancers that turns hours into invoices

Start a timer, get on with the work, and let the hours land in the right place. When it's time to bill, your unbilled time is already waiting.

What the timer does

Every billable minute, counted and ready to bill.

A one-tap timer that follows you

Start the timer on a task, and when you move on, switch to the next one without stopping. Forgot to start it? Add an entry by hand, or fix the times afterwards. Every entry is billable or non-billable, so admin time stays off the invoice.

  • ManualAdd or edit entries afterwards
  • BillableBillable or non-billable on every entry

Your week, rolled up for you

Your time adds itself up by project and by client across the week. You can see where the hours went at a glance, without a spreadsheet or a Friday afternoon of guessing.

  • ClientsTotals for each client

Budgets that know where the time went

Give a project a budget and tracked time counts against it as you work. A health flag tells you when a project starts to drift, early enough for a calm conversation about scope.

Unbilled time, straight onto an invoice

When you're ready to bill, pull a client's unbilled time into a new invoice. The hours arrive as lines you can check before sending. Running a small team? A manager view shows each person's hours, so nothing slips through.

How it works

Track it, check it, bill it.

  1. Step 01

    Start the timer

One tap on a task starts it, and switching tasks moves the clock with you.

  2. Step 02

    Check your week

Hours add up by project and client, billable apart from admin.

  3. Step 03

    Bill the hours

Pull a client's unbilled time into an invoice and check the lines before sending.

How it connects

Time sits in the middle of the thread. You track it against the project that came from a signed contract, and it flows into the invoice that gets you paid.

Questions

Time tracking questions

Can I add time I forgot to track?

Yes. Add an entry by hand and edit any entry afterwards: change the times, the task, or whether it's billable.

Can I mark time as non-billable?

Every entry is either billable or non-billable. Non-billable time still shows in your week, so you see the full picture, but it stays off the invoice.

How does tracked time become an invoice?

Start a new invoice for the client and pull in their unbilled time. The hours come in as lines you can review before you send it.

Does it work for a small team?

Yes. Everyone tracks their own time, and a manager view shows each team member's hours, so you can see the week across the studio.

Can I track time from my phone?

Yes. Meadow Desk works in your phone's browser, so you can start and stop the timer away from your desk.
