How to use the slug and case converter
- Type or paste a title, a phrase or an existing name in any case.
- Find the version you need: a slug for a link, camelCase for code, Title Case for a heading.
- Copy it with the button on its row.
How the slug and case converter works
The converter first splits your text into words: at spaces, hyphens and underscores, and wherever a lowercase letter meets a capital, so camelCase splits too. Then it joins the words back in each style. The slug keeps only plain letters and digits: accented letters become plain ones and punctuation goes.
Accented letters turn into plain ones in the slug and the code cases, so Résumé tips for the café gives resume-tips-for-the-cafe, while Title Case and UPPER CASE keep the accents. Letters outside the Latin alphabet, like Greek or Cyrillic, are left out, so write those slugs by hand.
